Welcome Address
Dear colleagues,
The Eurachem Week 2025 will be hosted by National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, in the lovely capital of Romania, Bucharest. The local organiser “Eurachem-Romania” Association, together with the Eurachem Education and Training Working Group will be happy to welcome you to the events associated with Eurachem Week 2025.
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that my colleagues and I announce you the scientific workshop on the topic: “Complex Matrices: Applications, Laboratory standards, and Accreditation” that opens the specific activities of the Eurachem Week 2025. We believe that your participation in our event will underscore a shared commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering innovation in this area of research and application.
Chemical complex matrices are at the heart of numerous scientific and industrial processes, from pharmaceuticals, clinical applications and environmental science to food safety and materials engineering. These intricate systems often pose unique challenges, requiring advanced methodologies, collaborative insights, and robust standards to ensure accuracy, reproducibility, and practical utility. This workshop has been designed to bridge the gap between theoretical frameworks, laboratory techniques, their real-world applications and quality assurance and accreditation requirements.
Over the course of our sessions, we will address a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from cutting-edge analytical techniques and method development to compliance with international standards and translating findings into tangible solutions. Experienced speakers, each an expert in their field, will guide us through interactive presentations, hands-on experiences, and thought-provoking discussions in our planned breakout sessions.
This event is not only an opportunity to gain deeper insight into the complexities of chemical matrices and the challenges for accrediting a laboratory working with complex matrices but also a platform to network with peers, exchange ideas, and explore collaboration. Whether you are a researcher, an industry professional, a scientist involved in measurement and testing performed in the chemical, environmental, clinical, forensic or microbiological sector, a representative of accreditation bodies and metrology institutes, technical assessor, or customer of laboratory services, or just an aspiring scientist, your contributions to this dialogue are invaluable.
We look forward to a fruitful and inspiring scientific event, as a part of a successful Eurachem Week 2025.
Thank you.
